For the foreseeable future, the monthly Opioid Overdose Prevention Training at 175 Green Street, co-sponsored by the Albany County Departments of Mental Health and Health along with Catholic Charities’ Project SAFEPoint, has been cancelled.
However, our partners at Project SAFEPoint have begun to offer weekly virtual overdose training through ZOOM to fill this community need. The virtual trainings will be offered each Tuesday at 11:00am for the foreseeable future.
- Learn the signs and symptoms of heroin and opioid overdose.
- Learn how to use Naloxone (Narcan) to respond to an overdose.
- Accessing NARCAN/Naloxone kits will be discussed during the training.
